Reversing the norms of a clinical environment and providing an architecture of hope for children of VSK.
 

The bird cottage is designed to provide a holistic environment placed, carefully in a way that takes both the commercial and residential neighbourhood. By achieving this, the design is somewhat partially extended out, while the rest of the building is hidden away by its lush landscape for privacy.

The plan is designed to maximise landscape which then provided an inner courtyard, surrounded by corridors connecting bedrooms, living and treatment areas.

As a result, the design infuses and restores the biophilic environment of a new hospice. Providing a more intimate and holistic human-nature relationship, whereby acknowledging the emotional state of the children.The bird cottage is an opportunity for children to play, learn, love and be loved.
